Description: When I took this receptacle out, I discovered some issues. The 20a receptacle was live when I found it. The receptacle had been on fire previously and a portion of the bottom receptacle was melted and burned black. I started taking pictures later when I discovered the extent of 'creative wiring' present.

18g lamp cord run

Description: This lamp cord had been used to run power from a 15a receptacle to a ceiling light in the patio, a 20a duplex receptacle also in the patio, a 150w yard light, and another 20a receptacle outside. The wire had melted in several locations, bot receptacles had caught fire and partially melted. The outside receptacle had 2" of solid rust inside the bottom of the box.
